On 06.04.2017, No.48, Thuraisamy MuthaliyarStreet, near compound wall, the victim Karthick, A/40,S/o Natarajan, was brutally attacked by the accused Sankar @ Welding Sankar, who stabbed him with a tube light and caused his death, based on the incident, a case was registered at T5 Kundrathur Police Station, in Cr.No.938/2017, U/s 341,294(b),302 IPC, and taken up for investigation.
During the course of investigation, accused Sankar @ Welding Sankar, A/46, S/o Rajendran, No.3221, Bavaniamman Kovil Street, Thirunageshwaran colony, Kundrathur, Chennai-69,was arrested and sent to the judicial custody, investigation was concluded in a firm manner, and final report was filed before the court against Sankar @ Welding Sankar on 21.06.2017.
Further, the case was taken on file by the Principal District Sessions Judge, Kancheepuram on 09.03.2018, as a session case no.13/2018, during trial 10 witnesses were examined, 14 exhibits and 09 material objects were scrutinized. Following due legal proceedings, the court found the accused guilty and pronounced the sentence.
i) Life Imprisonment and fine of Rs.1000/, with a default clause of 3 months additional rigorous imprisonment for section 302 IPC.
ii) 1 month imprisonment for section 294(b) IPC.
